The Northeast Harmony Tour kicked off with a bang at East Garden, where numerous families from the Belvedere area gathered to celebrate the 58th Holy Wedding Anniversary of our True Parents. Following the celebration, Northeast Subregional Director Demian Dunkley and Secretary General Miilhan Stephens led a meeting to carry out the purpose of the 2-week tour: to share True Mother’s vision for the subregion, nation, and beyond, in order to move toward this vision in unity.
After just four hours of sleep, the team was up and ready at 5:45am to head to their next destination: New Castle, Delaware. Anne-Marie Mylar and other local Unificationists welcomed the team with a huge breakfast, during which Demian shared about the future of the Unification movement, True Mother's vision, and unifying with True Mother in fulfilling the providence as a subregion
Hello, everyone! This is Demian. Thanks to Soyeon Kim who is back in the office in New York City and willing to take calls from me to record them, from now, I will be sharing about our journey from this harmony tour in first person.
We are now standing at a gas station in New York. I smell manure from all directions. It’s raining. The rich, soiled smell of manure was the first thing that greeted me as I got out of the RV.
On day 4, we woke up early. Again, we needed to leave before 5am to drive up to Albany to meet with everybody. We arrived in Albany before 7am for our farmhouse breakfast. We had a wonderful breakfast with the members there. It felt like we were living on a farm and that we were having our early morning breakfast before going out to the fields to work.
Our morning began with a meeting with Heather and her team from the New Hampshire area. William, our RV driver, burst into the room with a couple that he met in the hallway of the hotel and said, "This couple wants to receive the blessing." After Heather and I went over to give them the blessing, we found out that they were especially grateful because they had just had a miscarriage.
